If you want to experiment with neck tensions or limit the amount of working of your brass, our
Bushing Bump Die is a great option.
Do you neck turn your brass? A Bushing Bump Die only sizes the neck down (does not pull an expander ball through). If there is variance in the wall thickness, this variance is pushed to the inside of your case necks and will affect your bullet when seated.
Do you use a variety of manufacturers’ brass? The wall thickness of brass is very important and often varies from head stamp to head stamp. You can certainly use a variety of manufacturers’ brass, but you will likely need to sort the brass and use a corresponding bushing.
One way to try our Bushing Bump Dies and help ensure you have proper neck tension is to install an Expander Ball. This will move the inconsistencies of your neck walls to the outside and help assure that bullet seating tensions are not too tight. Adding the Expander Ball will limit the amount you are working the brass.
How to Perform Proper Case Priming
We started a series of “how-to” articles that can help new and experienced reloaders refine handloading methods. One of our first is on “How to Perform Proper Case Priming” with others to follow.
A Satisfied Customer for 50+ Years!
Long time Forster Products customer Mike Bowen recently shared his praises for our Co-Ax® Press. When he started reloading in the late 1960s, one of the first things he purchased was the Bonanza* Co-Ax Press, a press that he still uses to this day!
“Indestructible, sturdy and versatile is how I’d describe this press. It just doesn’t wear out,” Mike noted. “It has helped me load every and anything I’ve ever asked it to do.”
As an experienced reloader, he also owns and is very knowledgeable about several of our competitors’ presses. Unlike those models, he readily shares that he just CANNOT find any fault with the Co-Ax Press.
“This is such a quality item that can’t be beat; I fully expect that my great grandsons will be able to use it also – that’s how good it is.”
Thanks Mike – we’re proud of our quality products and are glad to hear about your positive experience.
*Bonanza was purchased by Forster Products in 1984 and we have continued to offer and expand on Bonanza products.

Dave and Cathy Logosz were recently contacted by the National Forest Service to help them with a special project at the Theodore Roosevelt National Park to help cull the elk herd. They, along with other qualified hunters, will help to thin the herd and protect the national park by limiting damage caused by the overpopulation of elk. An additional benefit for the hunters’ efforts is that the meat is dressed at local lockers and donated to needy veterans.
