Muzzle energy exceeds 10,000 foot pounds of energy, hence the 585 Nyati deserves mention as the world's most powerful shoulder gun cartridge. Sorry, it has too large a neck O.D. to be trimmed in any of our standard case trimmers. This cartridge was created by Ross Seyfried by modifying 577 Nitro cases. After forming, the .637 rim has to be turned down to fit the bolt face. Either standard belted magnum or 416 Rigby rim size is used as the bolt requires. Length allows chambering in magnum Mauser actions with minimal modifications. (505 Gibbs cases have also been used as a parent cartridge case)
